Section 122 import surcharge ends after 150 days

The 10% Section 122 surcharge on imports from every country expired at the close of Jul 23, 2026, the end of the 150 days set by Proclamation 11012. It isn't collected on goods entered after that.

The 10% surcharge that Proclamation 11012 imposed under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 ran for the 150 days the proclamation set: it applied to goods entered from Feb 24, 2026 "through 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on July 24, 2026" (clause 7). The tariff schedule's compiler's note says U.S. note 2(aa) and headings 9903.03.01 to 9903.03.11 "expired at the close of July 23, 2026."

Goods entered after that no longer pay the surcharge. It had applied to imports from every country, with many exemptions. Details are on the program page.
